Morning!
Hopefully all is well with you and that you survived the shock of the recent, much needed, rain!?
There are 2 things for you this morning. Firstly, I want to tell you all about the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s Wildlife Ball and then I’ll share the first sketches of the main tiger piece that will be auctioned there.
The Wildlife Ball is possibly the poshest, most prestigious event Carol and I have ever been to. It’s held annually at the Dorchester in London and it’s main purpose (apart from all the eating, drinking and general fun) is to raise funds for wildlife conservation.
This year I am being honoured by having my largest ever biro artwork (2.25 meters by 1.15 meters) auctioned live at the event.
Please click this link, or on the image below to learn all about the event and you can even come along, tickets cost £250 each.

I promised it last week, so I’m finally sharing a bit of artwork. Yay!
I’ve been sketching away, trying to work out what the main tiger piece and the 5 small pieces will be and the sketches below show the progress of my thinking on the tiger piece.
It’s all been done on a tablet, and I will be making everyone of the sketches below available to buy (once I’ve printed and framed them) as editions of 1, so please keep an eye out for that, or let me know if there is any of the below that you would like to reserve. The sketches will be priced somewhere around £80 and will be a bit larger than the ones I did for The Wildlife Trusts.
These represent the thought and creative process I went through in deciding the final composition, so there will be various numbers of sketches available for each artwork, depending on the complexity of the composition. As you can see below there will be 6 for the Tiger.

Although I’ve done most of the thinking already, I would expect things to change a bit in the final work. I want to think about adding more information into the background, possibly also including some deer.
So, we’ll see what happens!
Next week there will be more sketches, hopefully via a video!
All the best and be well,
Cy
