“This was the first painting I completed whilst out in Costa Rica. I chose to start with Hummingbirds, as they made such a huge impression on us during our first days here. We saw them, up extremely close, at some feeders where their beauty, incredible speed and manoeuvrability were very clear! We were then lucky enough to get some, also very close up, encounters with them in their natural habitat, out in the cloud forests. Quite incredible!”
