Description
Unframed fine art print
āFirst introduced to Britain by the Romans over 20,000 years ago, the Hare is our fastest land mammal, capable of reaching over 45 miles an hour. They have also played a large part in our culture, from Alice in Wonderland to the mad March hare, we have long been fascinated with these secretive animals.
Iāve been wanting to paint hares for a long time and a pure field of bluebells seemed a fitting place to start. This is also my first oil painting using a new priming mixture for the canvas. Prior to this one Iāve used a mixture of gesso, sand and Polyfilla, but my new mixture of primer and building mortar creates a more consistent and pleasing texture that is easier to work with.ā
All fine art prints are painstakingly colour matched, printed and mounted by the artist himself. The prints are done on 100% cotton, fine art paper using specialist, colourfast inks, ensuring the highest possible durability of this beautiful image.
The finished unframed print measures 51cm x 40cm (20ā³ x 16ā³).
