“The second work to be completed in Canada, although, this was actually the first to be started as it took longer to complete. Cedar lake was local to where we stayed and the first time we visited, which was very early in the morning the lake was covered with drifting mist and looked truly beautiful, especially when the sun rose over the trees. As the conditions changed so rapidly, I had to revisit on multiple occasions to complete the work. I feel it’s the deceptive simplicity of the composition that makes this piece work. The trees, mist and reflections make a very straightforward design, but it’s one that was actually quite difficult to capture. Mist, and the atmosphere it creates, is a very subtle and ethereal thing, which hopefully, I’ve successfully captured.”
Framing
Although this piece hasn’t been framed as yet. If you purchase the framed version, I will frame it within 2 days and dispatch it out to you. I make all my own frames for my larger original artworks, using tray mouldings, specifically designed for canvases, meaning you can see the artwork wrapping around the edges of the canvas. This gives a wonderfully simple frame that enhances the artwork, but lets it take centre stage.

At present, I can only ship to the UK via the website. I can ship to other destinations, but I’ll need you to get in touch, using the contact me form, for a quote if buying from outside the UK.
All the art I sell is packaged extremely carefully, to keep your painting safe for it’s journey, no matter how far. I have years of experience packaging original artworks for transport to all parts of the world, so you can have faith your unique piece of art will arrive safe and sound. This can take some time, especially with original paintings, however, I aim to ship all art within 2 working days.
