Commissions

The Process

The final commission

Step 1

The first step is a simple one really: Decide you’d like an original piece of my artwork, tailored specifically to you. That may sound a bit flippant, but buying a piece of art is a big deal. You’re deciding to invest a significant amount of money in a completely unique thing. You therefore need to think carefully and make sure I’m the right artist doing the right thing for you, or a loved one.

Step 2

Once you’ve made up your mind, contact me, either via this form or on the phone 07739 530 248

Step 3

We will then work together to decide the best approach to create your unique piece of art. This will include size, media, price, required completion date amongst many other things. If you decide to proceed with the commission a deposit will be required, to confirm the commission whilst I’m working on any current commissions.

Step 4

Once I’m able, I’ll then work on your specific composition. This could be done via pencil sketches, whiteboard art, oil sketches, or a combination of any or all of them.

Step 5

Once the final composition has been agreed, I’ll work on the artwork for you, sending you regular updates, so you can see each stage as it’s being created. I encourage feedback, even at this stage, so things can be changed pretty much at any time.

Step 6

Once complete, dry and framed, usually within 2-4 weeks of work starting, the art is ready for collection, or delivery, and you are the proud owner of your own genuine original artwork.
